For Waverley and I’s second collaboration, we travelled north to the Scottish highlands in the winter of 2024, ensconcing ourselves at Watercolour Music near Ardgour for a week. Despite some technical difficulties throughout, I feel this turned out exactly as we all wanted it to. The bulk of the tracking was completed at Watercolour with overdubs and mixing being done at my place. The addition of a 3 cello arrangement by Pete Harvey on “Nettle” really elevated the sonics and brought something new to their music. Can’t wait to hear what’s next for this constantly evolving band.
